After that the crowd scenes dwindle down so it goes back to the central characters.
First scene is black white, neutrals and occasional blue accent when she goes modern, green is the accent color. Even down to Mrs. Meer’s jade necklace, the green hat on the women sitting in the lobby. I could name more but just check it out. I am just getting started.

When you realize that every scene in Thoroughly Modern Millie is designed so that everyone is wearing the same colors or have that color as an accent. Seriously. It’s amazing!
I’ll make a post in a bit when I get screen caps but seriously. That is ALOT of work and a lot of details. I love stuff like that!
Surfed around the official page for Western Costume Co. the Hollywood costume studio that owns the costumes from movies like Star!, Darling Lili, Thoroughly Modern Millie and a TON of others. Found evidence of that in these pictures.
