Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the awesome Anthony Powell and his immediately distinct costuming style. The first two pictures are from 101 and 102 Dalmatians, below, the 2003 revival of Anything Goes in the West End; designed by Powell.
His work can be identified with tons of black and white contrast, paired with bold animal prints for his leading ladies.
By the time I graduated high school, all the Broadway/West End show shirts I had bought over the four years had not fit me anymore. So what does a girl do?
Chop them off and stick them onto the back of a denim blazer, of course.
It has since had Witches of Eastwick sewn over the heart, and a patch from The Globe Theatre.
I think this is by far the best imitation of Patti ever.
OMG literally when she was just making noise during the verse I laughed out loud and almost spilled my tea all over the place. AWESOME!
